Meat Thunderstick Relaunches Website — No Paywall, No Purchase Required, and a New Way for Fans to Go Deeper
Rebuilt from the ground up, meatthunderstick.com now gives listeners free access to the full catalog — including alternate versions and unreleased tracks that have never been public before — with a direct line for fan feedback on every song.
GODERICH, Ontario — July 30, 2026 — Meat Thunderstick, the hard rock/power metal project built around a mythology of resurrection, ruin, and reckoning, today announced the relaunch of its official website at meatthunderstick.com. The rebuilt site strips out the commerce layer entirely — no store, no checkout, no price tags — in favor of something the project's creator sees as more honest to why the music exists in the first place: to be heard.
"This was never about selling records," said Devan Thomas, the songwriter and producer behind Meat Thunderstick. "It started as the road not taken — the thing I didn't do when I was younger, picking music over everything else life told me to prioritize. The new site reflects that. If you want to hear it, it's there. All of it."
What's changed
The previous site required visitors to purchase tracks before streaming. The new build removes that barrier completely:
Every song, freely playable. All four albums — First Strike, Second Cut, Dominion of Ashes, and the newly released The Cosmos and the Heart — stream in full, no account or purchase required.
Alternate versions, unlocked. Piano versions, acoustic takes, alternate masters, and other variants — previously unreleased side-by-side with their studio counterparts — are now browsable and playable directly from each track's page.
An unreleased songs archive. A running collection of demos, one-offs, and in-progress tracks that never found a home on a proper album is now public for the first time, offered as an open look into the project's process rather than a polished final product.
Listener feedback, built in. Every track page now includes a comments feature, giving fans a direct way to react to individual songs — not just the album as a whole.
Deeper context for every song. New Journal-style notes accompany each track, walking through the ideas, references, and production choices behind the music — alongside full lyrics and the project's ongoing mythology, including the ongoing storyline of the Maker and his Protégé.
Built for listening, not selling
The rebuild — internally called "Website2" — was constructed on modern web infrastructure (Next.js, deployed via Netlify, with audio delivered through Cloudflare's global network) specifically to support lossless, high-fidelity WAV playback rather than compressed streaming-only audio, without the cost structure that would normally make that expensive to offer for free.
"I didn't want to make people choose between quality and access," Thomas said. "You shouldn't have to pay to hear a song sound the way it was actually mixed."
What's next
Meat Thunderstick's next release, a standalone single continuing the project's vampire mythology, is currently in development. The Journal and Visual Art sections of the new site will continue to expand in the coming months as more behind-the-scenes material is published.
